The New Development Bank, formerly BRICS Development Bank, is a multilateral development bank established by Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. It supports public and private projects through loans, guarantees, equity investments and other financial instruments. In addition, the New Development Bank
collaborates with international organizations and financial institutions and provides technical assistance to projects that support the bank.

Since its inauguration in 2015, the bank has approved funding to the tune of approximately $25 billion for infrastructure, clean energy, transport and environmental projects.
The New Development Bank’s new main building is located on the site of the Shanghai Expo Park and offers 126,000 square meters of space for 2,500 technically
modern and sustainably equipped offices. It meets the China Green Building certificate and the China Health Building certificate criteria.
